For 2016 we changed things around a bit.

This year we decided to combine both the Hallmark and Tigerprint stands. This was all about maximising our efforts and to prevent any confusion. With everything in one place we were able to manage things a whole lot better.

We stayed with the 'Design-A-Day' format, Displaying the words for the first two weeks on the stand, and following on with emails and news posts for the remainder. Another great competition was had.

Whilst we were there we were pleased to announce our winners for week one and two of New Designers.

Rebecca Garforth, from Bath Spa University won the Tigerprint New designers award 2016 for her Amsterdam to Paradise Valley project.

The judges commented: “We loved Rebecca's use of colour and her quirky sense of humour. Her work is bold, confident and clean. We were won over by her fun and passionate personality and her diverse yet commercial portfolio.” 

Rebecca's comments: “I'd like to thank Tigerprint for seeing something in my work – I'm really pleased."

Rebecca received a price of £500 and a paid placement at our Bradford studios.

We also delighted to announce that Katie Amy Webb from Nottingham Trent University had been awarded the Hallmark @NewDesigners 2016 award for her project, ‘Little Badger Blue’.

The judges comments were:’We loved it!’

Katie’s reaction: ‘I’m really shocked but ecstatic at having won, and I can’t wait to see where it leads. I’m so grateful to New Designers and to Hallmark.’

Katie also won a £500 cash prize, and a two month paid placement.
