What is New Designers?

This year New Designers sees its 31st edition. This incredible legacy gives you an event that continues to deliver new generations of brilliant individuals, year on year, ready for businesses and the design savvy public to snap up and set on their creative paths.

New Designers is the UK's most important graduate design exhibition, full of innovation and fresh thinking. It takes place over two weeks, with each part focusing on a different set of design disciplines and featuring its own Awards Programme.

The show sees over 3,000 of the most talented, newly graduated designers from the UK's leading universities come together to exhibit in one spectacular venue - the Business Design Centre, London.

Hallmark have been proud sponsors of New Designers for 18 years, and this will be the 7th year of the Gifted? competition.

We currently employ 22 people from previous New Designers and work with many more freelance designers discovered at this fantastic event.

We joined forces with New Designers after admiring their commitment to discovering new talent and springboarding designers into creative careers. Still young and talented, New Designers have an impressive legacy of passion and commitment to art & design education in the UK.

With bright stars emerging such as Thomas Heatherwick, Bethan Gray, Ella Doran and Dead Good to name but a few, we return each year to run competitions, award placements and give portfolio advice– as well as to appoint permanent positions.

We love exploring the creative talent that’s out there and it’s a great chance for students and graduates to come and see us, meet our team and find out that we’re not quite like anyone else!
